How to Create a Custom Filter
Custom filters can have more complex matching rules based on sender, recipient, subject, or email body and take various actions such as forward, discard, or save an email to a specific folder. In this guide, we teach you how to create a custom filter.
## Steps to create a custom filter:
Navigate to the Email Section:
- In your dashboard, look for the “Email” option.
Access "Filters":
- Click on ****the "Filters" button.
Create a Custom Filter":
- Click “ADD” in the custom filters window.
Define Filter Conditions:
- Rules: ****Under the "If…" section, you'll define the criteria that trigger the filter.
- For example, to block emails from a specific sender, choose Sender and then set it to contains and enter the email (e.g., john@example.com
).
- You can also filter based on other conditions, such as subject, body, or recipient information.
Select Filter Actions:
After defining the rule, you'll choose what happens when an email matches the criteria.
- Discard – Deletes the email.
- Send to Folder – Moves the email to a specific folder.
- Forward to Email – Forwards the email to another address.
Save the Filter:
- After configuring the filter, click “CREATE FILTER” to activate it.
